Believe it or not, #Flatlay thing invades instagram this year. One of the question that I received in my e-mail is, what are the tips or secrets to flatlay like a blogger? I hope this blog post will help you to improve your flatlay skills.
1. BE CREATIVE
One of the skills that you should have is CREATIVITY, you can put magazine editorials, flowers, shades or anything that can add up or spice up to your pictures.
2. EXPERIMENT
Good Positiong of an object is one of the most essential thing flatlay should have. You can experiment by moving an object from one place to another or by adding some objects like vase, petals, shoes, etc...
3. CHOOSE A BASIC BACKGROUND
Basically, if you can examine the picture I only use pink cartolina as my background in this flatlay. Choosing a basic background gives an impression of versatility and simplicity. But, you need to be careful of the distance of an object to one another.
4. FIT IN SQUARE
Flatlay-ing is limited only when we talk about of "space". Instagram only has an image size of up to 1080px x 1080px, that's why it is limited. If you have pants, you can fold it to fit in square.
5. TAKE THE PHOTOS DURING THE DAY
You need to have a perfect lightning! Artificial lighting like bulb light & camera flash does not give a clearer look. Natural light coming from the sun is the best way to have a good and clearer photos!
